Guest Speakers include: 

Kaypri - Kaypri is an active creative multi-hyphenate actor/writer/producer who grew up on New York theater, and received her BFA in Drama from Howard University. She evolved into a popular and crowd-pleasing solo playwright and performer for Babygirl: media-codependa-lova-holic and its sequel The Good Daughter & The Do Gooder. In 2021, her Babygirl TV pilot was a Stowe and Sundance Labs fellowship finalist. She was also a PEN Emerging Artist finalist for her book adaptation and won a screenwriting award for her adaptation of another play Everything. She is currently staffed as a writer for the webseries SAHM and is a former PageCraft fellow. Kaypri also works as a freelance script doctor for all literary genres and is proud to serve as the Atlanta WGA captain.

Rashidi Hendrix -  Hendrix is an award-winning producer and talent manager who is a Partner at Independent Artists Media and CEO of Metallic Pictures, a Los Angeles based television/film production company. As a manager, Hendrix represents a roster of actors, comedians, TV & Film writers and directors, actors and comedians, that have worked on shows like End of the Road (Netflix), Wild is the Wind (Netflix), Bad Dad Rehab (TvOne), Queen Sugar (OWN), The Ranch (Netflix), Chicago Fire (NBC), Criminal Minds (CBS), Bates Motel (A&E), NCIS (CBS), Deadly Class (Syfy), Preacher (AMC), Crazy Love (Lifetime), Shameless (Showtime), Late Night with Seth Meyers(NBC), Luke Cage (Netflix), Insecure (HBO), Laff Tracks (TruTV), Chuck (NBC), Paper Friends (BET), Chopped (Food Network), Late Night Chef Fight (FYI) and hit features like Takers & The Equalizer. In 2023, he was honored by his alma mater with the 2023 Florida A&M University National Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Award. In addition, Hendrix serves on many community organizations as a volunteer and active mentor to young people. Hendrix graduated from Florida A&M and Florida State Universities with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

Alessandra Bautze - Bautze is Assistant Professor of Screenwriting at Georgia State University. She holds an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as a B.A. in The Writing Seminars and Film & Media Studies from The Johns Hopkins University. Her work seeks to reflect the diversity of the American experience while also embracing a socially-conscious, realist approach to narrative. Her screenplay RACING THE WOLF GOD won Best Screenplay at the 2021 Anchorage International Film Festival and is currently in active development. She has received residencies from the Nanjing International Writers’ Residency Program (November 2021, via Zoom), the Storyknife Writers Residency Program (July 2022, Homer, Alaska), and the Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence Program (May 2023, Crested Butte, Colorado). She was named the Tangerine Entertainment Fellow for Stowe Story Labs’ 2023 Narrative Lab (Stowe, Vermont.) In addition to her work as a writer, she also works as a script consultant, most recently for SignWorld Studios, a Deaf-owned production company focusing on producing authentic media in American Sign Language and English. She has also taught screenwriting through Baltimore Youth Film Arts, as well as the Deaf Talent Creative Lab. She believes in the power of language to connect communities.
